Abandoned Mine Grants, National Park Fund Axed in Trump Budget

The White House has proposed $178 million in cuts to five discretionary programs in the Interior Department’s fiscal 2020 budget, including grants for abandoned mine reclamation and an Indian loans program.

The proposed cuts are part of the Trump administration’s overall proposed budget of $12.6 billion for the Interior Department for 2020, a 14 percent cut from the fiscal 2019 estimated budget.
