Biofuel Allies Hike Pressure on Trump to Redistribute Quotas

Renewable fuel producers, farmers and lawmakers are boosting pressure on the Trump administration to shift course on exempting refineries from biofuel-blending quotas amid signs the president is concerned about political fallout in the Midwest.

Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds and Iowa Agriculture Sec. Mike Naig complained in a letter to EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler on Wednesday that waivers have taken “a devastating toll on rural families facing one of the toughest years on record.”
