Brazil President Scraps Another U.N. Climate Change Meeting

The United Nations must look for a new venue for a climate change planning meeting after Brazil’s decided to cancel the August session in Salvador de Bahia.

Brazil’s Environment Ministry said May 14 that it would cancel the Aug. 19-23 preparatory meeting in the northeastern city of Salvador for the United Nations’ 25th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP-25), which is set to take place in Santiago, Chile in December.
