Canada’s Conservatives in Tight Spot on Climate Strategy (1)

Canada will miss its international targets to reduce emissions, even with a national tax on greenhouse gas emissions in force.

That puts members of the country’s Conservative Party, who want to scrap the tax on fuel purchases and industrial facilities, in a near-intractable position should the party win a national election later this year, analysts anticipating the release of the party’s climate change plan this month say.
