EPA Expects Lead-Free Plumbing Rule by End of Year

A final EPA rule should be published by the end of the year that defines how plumbing fixture makers and importers can prove the lead in their consumer products meets a new, lower standard that Congress set in 2011, a senior agency water official said Sept. 5.
