Maine Offshore Wind Farm’s Electric Rates Too High: Commission

A Maine commission withdrew its backing of electric rates proposed by the nation’s first floating offshore wind project, saying the rates are too high and unfair to consumers.

The Maine Public Utilities Commission four years ago had tentatively approved the electric rates proposed by the Aqua Ventus I GP LLC and Central Maine Power.
