Trump Administration Sued for Pesticides in Wildlife Refuges (1)

Two conservation groups are suing the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for reversing a prior ban on the use of certain insecticides and genetically modified crops in national wildlife refuges.

The Center for Biological Diversity and the Center for Food Safety filed suit on Sept. 26 in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.

The lawsuit challenges a 2018 decision by Fish and Wildlife and the Department of the Interior that reversed a 2014 pledge to phase out the planting of GMO seeds, many of which come coated with neonicotinoids, a class of insecticides...
