Trump to Scrap Army Corps Water Allocations Proposal (1)

President Donald Trump promised a group of farmers that his administration will kill an Obama-era proposal to change federal rules on water allocations during times of drought.

Trump told the annual convention of the American Farm Bureau Federation that the proposal from the Army Corps of Engineers known as the Water Supply Rule is dead (RIN: 0710-AA72).

He said it would have given the federal government “vast and unlimited power to restrict farmers’ access to water” when that authority “rightfully belongs to the states.”
