3 Federal Mine Safety Panel Officials Confirmed by Senate

The Senate confirmed three members to the Federal Mine Safety and Health Review Commission March 14.

The move purportedly sets to end a lack of quorum that has lasted on the federal panel for almost seven months. President Donald Trump nominees Marco M. Rajkovich Jr., Arthur R. Traynor, and William I. Althen were all confirmed by voice vote.

Rajkovich awaited Senate confirmation to the independent agency for more than a year.

Former United Mine Workers of America attorney Traynor was nominated Oct. 16, for a six-year term expiring Aug. 30, 2024.
